£35,000 recovered for Neil following his cycling collision
Neil* sustained physical and psychological injuries when a car crashed into him while he was out riding his bike.
Neil was travelling on his pushbike along a main road when the Defendant Driver, travelling from the opposite direction, attempted a right turn across Neil’s path, causing Neil to collide head on into his vehicle. Neil was knocked to the ground and extensive damage was caused to his bike.
Paramedics attended the scene, and Neil was taken by ambulance to the local hospital where a full examination took place and treatment was performed. He suffered multiple soft tissue injuries to his wrist, elbow and hip. A full recovery, after some rehabilitation, was expected in time.
Neil also suffered from flash backs and travel anxiety and was later diagnosed with an adjustment disorder with anxiety and low mood. He was expected to make a full recovery over time.
Once our initial investigations were complete we submitted a claim to the driver’s insurance company and obtained an admission of liability. Medical evidence was obtained and his losses were calculated and we successfully secured him compensation in the sum of £35,000.
Neil was very pleased with the outcome and felt fully compensated for his losses. He used some of his compensation to fund his rehabilitation.
