£3,000 for Injured Tenant

Mr C was walking down the stairs of his rented accommodation when one of the steps collapsed underneath his wait, resulting in a back and shoulder injury.

Following a detailed analysis of all of the available evidence James Winterbottom of Aston Knight Solicitors established that the fault must have arisen during construction of the property and then pursued a claim against the original builders, using specific laws.

The builders’ insurance company admitted liability and made an offer of £3,000 which Mr C was pleased to accept. At the end of the case Mr C commented on how customer friendly he had found Aston Knight to be, which we were pleased to hear!
