£240,000 for a partial finger amputation
Mr C was working in a factory when, due to a failure of his employer to train him properly, his finger became trapped in a machine and was partially amputated. He also suffered significant psychological injuries and had ongoing pain. The Defendant?s solicitors admitted liability quickly but refused to make fair settlement offers. After obtaining further specialist medical evidence to support the case, and threatening to take them to court, they agreed to a settlement meeting during which a favourable outcome was reached.
